Darling Point

Lush abundance envelopes this Darling Point home, thanks to the thoughtful synthesis of complementary design elements and beautiful plant choices.

The soft, weeping plumes of the Acacia cognata ‘Limelight’ can be seen as they playfully ‘pop’  among the Loropetalum chinense ‘Purple Pixie’ and the Plectranthus argentatus in the rear garden.

Contrasting shapes such as balls of Buxus create added interest. The gently curved edging that borders the lawn enhances the vision and provides the perfect counterpoint to the angular contours of the adjoining pool. This area is thoughtfully finished with comfortable seating and a handful of handsome pots from Garden Life.

Inspired by delicate Japanese elements, the design is contained but free-flowing within each of the spaces. A small Buddha sits peacefully below the trees. Bluestone steppers are nestled among huddles of Viola hederacea and these pretty purple and white flowering plants are repeated along the driveway, beneath the lush foliage of the Nandina ‘Lemon Lime’.

Enthused by their new bountiful surrounds, the children can play freely and explore their very own wonderland of greenery.
